Twelve places to start around SLO. Find a garden between classes, pause beside the creek, or leave a little more time for the coast.
An approved account is required to continue into place details. Open a listing in Alcove or continue in your browser. Sharing a place does not grant approval. Fees, hours and conditions can change; check the listing and linked manager guidance before leaving.

Dawn to dusk; check wet-weather closures. Vehicle parking is paid. Overflow parking is reported closed through 2026, not the preserve itself.
Leave room for the return
Start with the last practical bus home, then allow time to walk between your destination and the stop. A place pin is not a bus stop or a verified step-free route.
Cal Poly students, faculty and staff can ride SLO Transit free with a valid Cal Poly ID. Check the university’s current service guidance before setting out.
For regional travel, RTA Route 12 connects SLO, Cuesta College, Morro Bay and Los Osos. Check the day, direction, stop and return timetable. Regional fares and eligibility differ from SLO Transit.
Make it your outing
Catalog pins can sit inside a park or trail rather than at a vehicle entrance. A paved section does not establish continuous step-free access. Check surfaces, current closures, dog rules and your return route. Blufftop paths and beach access are different outings.
